Information You Submit
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into a search box are sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Palm Springs Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond or address the request.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may record an IP address, browser type, page requests, and timestamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for security, reliability, and readership trends. Basic cookies or similar tools may be used for analytics or, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, answer correspondence, diagnose faults, understand aggregate traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell visitor lists or build personal profiles of individual readers.
Links and Search Providers
The pages link to Riverside ACR, Palm Springs city resources, California agencies, courts, libraries, archives, and third-party search services. Once a reader follows an outside link or uses a sponsored search box, that provider’s policy governs the information submitted there.
Who May Process Technical Data
Hosting and support providers may handle server logs while keeping the pages online. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; otherwise it is not shared as a visitor list.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the operational purposes described here. There are no site accounts, passwords, or user profiles stored for Palm Springs Residents Directory. No security measure can promise absolute protection, but limiting collection limits what could be exposed.
Readers Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact us so the message and any associated copy can be removed when appropriate.
California Privacy Choices
The California Consumer Privacy Act guidance, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, can give covered consumers rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain sensitive-data uses, subject to exceptions. The Delete Act, Civil Code section 1798.99.86, created the state DROP route for registered data brokers. Because this reference keeps little visitor information, a request usually concerns a contact message or limited technical logs.
Use the Contact page to request access, correction, or deletion of information held here. Government records about Palm Springs held by California, Riverside County, or the City of Palm Springs are outside this site’s control. Requests for those records go to the custodian. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, governs public-agency access and is separate from this private-site policy.
Changes to This Policy
A revised version will be posted on this page with its updated wording. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the policy then displayed.
