Terms of Use

These terms apply to the use of Palm Springs Residents Directory. By using the reference, you accept these conditions. Do not use it if you do not agree.

1. The Nature of This Reference

Palm Springs Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections relating to Palm Springs, Riverside County, and California. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a government office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Permitted and Prohibited Use

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use the pages or anything reached through them to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm another person
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Scrape, reproduce, or republish the content at scale
  • Disrupt the operation, security, or availability of the reference

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

Palm Springs Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Neither the reference nor a linked tool supplies a consumer report, and neither may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

4. External Services and Links

Riverside ACR, Palm Springs, California, court, library, archive, and sponsored search resources operate under their own terms, availability, prices, and data practices. Palm Springs Residents Directory does not control or endorse every external result and is not responsible for a linked service.

5. No Promise of Accuracy

The reference is supplied as available and without a promise that every statement, link, fee, coverage date, or portal result is complete, current, or error-free. Verify a material fact with the office that holds the record.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or an outside resource, including a decision made from a record reached through them.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Reuse

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed excerpt is welcome. Republishing a full page or copying the site systematically is not permitted.

9. Revisions

These terms may be changed by posting a revised version here. Continued use after a revision means that the updated terms apply.

10. Suspension of Access

The operators may block or limit access, without advance notice, when a user violates these terms, abuses a search feature, or threatens the reference’s operation or security.

11. California Governing Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The California Public Records Act is codified at Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000 and governs public-agency access, not this private reference. California consumer privacy rights are addressed by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act and related law.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent allowed by law.

13. Questions About These Terms

Questions about the terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a government record belong with the relevant Riverside County, Palm Springs, California, or court custodian.
